CAS PDN-60 POS Interface Scale

The CAS PDN-60 POS interface scale weighs up to 60 lb in 0.01 lb steps and sends each weight straight into your point of sale or cash register, so checkout staff never key in a weight by hand. It is NTEP legal for trade and the current CAS replacement for the PD-2 checkout scale.

The PDN connects over USB or RS-232 and draws its power from the POS USB port, so there is no separate power brick on the counter. Its low 3.2 in profile fits checkout counters, the bright LED display tilts toward the cashier, and CAS SMART firmware prompts for manual entry only when it is needed. A remote customer display, edge tray and USB power block are available as options.

Is the CAS PDN NTEP Legal for Trade?

Yes. The PDN series is NTEP approved as a Class III scale under Certificate of Conformance 22-046, so the CAS PDN-60 is legal for trade at checkout. For precious metals or other jobs that call for an NTEP Class II balance, see the A&D FX-200iN, 220 g x 0.001 g, NTEP Class II.

CAS PDN replaces the PD-2

CAS has discontinued the PD-2 (PD-II) and PD-2Z POS scales and replaced them with the PDN series. The PDN keeps the same job, weighing at the register and sending the weight to the POS, and adds USB power and a tilting display.
