How to choose a bench scale

• Capacity: stay above the heaviest item plus the container.
• Platform: shipping boxes need a larger platter; food portions can use a smaller one.
• Environment: washdown or stainless for wet rooms; standard housings for dry benches.
• Output: printer or RS-232 when you need a ticket or a data record.
