Mail-In Scale Calibration for Texas and Nationwide

Get your scale calibrated without leaving your desk. Ship your scale or balance to MNM Scales and our TDA-licensed technicians calibrate it and send it back with a certificate. Mail-in calibration is available across Texas, from Amarillo to Brownsville and El Paso to Texarkana, and nationwide in states that accept TDA calibration. Most scales are calibrated within 1–3 business days after they reach us.

Who Mail-In Calibration Is For

  • Businesses and labs outside the Houston area that want TDA or NIST calibration with a certificate
  • Owners of balances and compact scales that ship easily, like jewelry, reloading, lab and pharmacy balances
  • Companies with scales in several cities that want one calibration provider and one set of records
  • Owners of scales bought from any seller who now need a calibration certificate on file

How to Send Your Scale In

  1. Contact us first. Call (832) 290-3120 or use the contact form with the brand, model, capacity and the service you want: in-house calibration, NIST calibration, or TDA legal-for-trade. We confirm the service for your state and send shipping details.
  2. Pack it securely. Use the original box and foam if you still have them. Follow the manufacturer’s transport instructions, such as engaging a transport lock or removing the pan and breeze break, and wrap each part separately with plenty of padding.
  3. Include a note with your name, company, phone, email, return address and the service you want.
  4. Ship it using the shipping details we gave you, with tracking.
  5. We calibrate and return it. Your scale is calibrated and documented, usually within 1–3 business days after it arrives, then shipped back with the certificate.

Which Certificate Should You Choose?

Choose in-house calibration for everyday accuracy in shipping, production and retail. Choose NIST calibration when a lab, pharmacy, customer or auditor needs a NIST-traceable record. Our NIST certificate guide compares the two. If the scale is used to sell by weight in Texas, read about legal-for-trade calibration.
