Sartorius Balance Price Guide: Entris II, Practum, Quintix and Secura
Short answer: our most popular Sartorius balances are the Entris II BCE2202-1S (2,200 g x 0.01 g) at $1,189, the BCE6202-1S (6,200 g x 0.01 g) at $1,899 and the BCE64I-1S (60 g x 0.1 mg, isoCAL) at $1,749, on our live listings (October 23, 2026). Across the range, the Practum2102-1S (2,100 g x 0.01 g) is $919, 0.1 mg analytical balances start at $1,499 for the 60 g Practum64-1S, and semi-micro models run about $5,199 to $5,998. Practum and Entris II Essential are the value lines, Quintix adds isoCAL on every model, and Secura adds leveling and compliance features for regulated labs. Buying several units? Ask for a quote.
“How much is a Sartorius balance?” is one of the first questions lab managers, schools and QC buyers ask us, and the honest answer is that it depends less on accuracy than on features. Two balances can both read 220 g x 0.1 mg and still be thousands of dollars apart because one calibrates itself, guides you through leveling and keeps an audit record, and the other does not. MNM Scales is an authorized Sartorius dealer and one of the largest scale distributors in the country, with over 30 years in business, so we keep the main Entris II, Practum, Quintix and Secura models in stock. Below are the current prices from our own listings, with the features that drive each step up.

What drives the price of a Sartorius balance
- Readability: a 0.1 mg analytical balance with a glass draft shield costs more than a 0.01 g toploader in the same family, and semi-micro (0.01 mg) models cost the most. If your smallest sample is tiny, the extra decimal place is worth it (see analytical vs precision balances).
- Calibration: Practum and the non-“i” Entris II models are adjusted with an external calibration weight (not included). isoCAL models adjust themselves with a built-in weight when the temperature changes or a set time passes. See internal vs external calibration.
- Leveling: Practum and Quintix use a bubble level and leveling feet. Secura monitors level in real time and guides you through leveling on screen.
- Compliance features: Quintix and Secura save calibration reports. Secura adds SQmin minimum-sample monitoring for USP work, password protection and sample and batch IDs. Entris II Advanced adds a calibration audit trail (CalAuditTrail).
- Legal for trade: “-1NUS” models such as the Secura6102-1NUS are the NTEP-approved versions you need when you sell by weight (see what NTEP means).
Which Sartorius family fits your budget?
Practum: lowest price, external calibration
Practum shares the touch-screen interface and built-in applications of Quintix and Secura, but you calibrate it yourself with an external weight (not included). It suits schools, teaching labs and production benches that check calibration on a schedule. Popular models: Practum2102-1S (2,100 g x 0.01 g), Practum213-1S (210 g x 1 mg) and Practum224-1S (220 g x 0.1 mg). The Practum2102-1S is $919.
Entris II: the best value, with or without isoCAL
Entris II Essential (BCE) is the value line, with an LED touch display and isoCAL on the “i” models; Entris II Advanced (BCA) adds a graphic touch display, an electronic level and the calibration audit trail. For most general labs, the BCE224I-1S or BCE2202I-1S is where we start. Full model-by-model details are in Entris II Essential vs Advanced. Our most popular Entris II models are the BCE2202-1S, BCE6202-1S and BCE64I-1S (see the table above). Our listings start at $1,189.
Quintix: isoCAL on every model
Every Quintix calibrates itself with isoCAL and saves calibration reports, and USB plug-and-work data transfer sends results straight into a spreadsheet. It is a good fit for QC labs that want automatic calibration without the full Secura compliance package. Popular models: Quintix224-1S, Quintix2102-1S, Quintix6102-1S and the Quintix125D-1S semi-micro. Our listings start at $1,921.
Secura: compliance for regulated labs
Secura adds real-time level monitoring, SQmin, password protection, selectable security levels and sample and batch identification on top of isoCAL. Pharmaceutical and GMP labs that document every weighing usually end up here. Popular models: Secura124-1S, Secura2102-1S, the NTEP Secura6102-1NUS and the Secura225D-1S semi-micro. Our listings start at $2,119.
Add calibration to your Sartorius balance
Calibration is priced per balance by maximum capacity, and a capacity exactly at a limit stays in the lower tier. Add it to your order and we calibrate the balance before it ships, or pick it up at our Cypress, TX shop by appointment. Already own a Sartorius? Mail it in, wherever you bought it; mail-in calibration is usually done within 1–3 business days after we receive it (see mail-in scale calibration and NIST-traceable vs in-house certificates). In the Houston area, our technicians also calibrate balances on-site for $295 plus $2 per mile, round trip, charged once per visit, with calibration priced per balance on top (see balance calibration in Houston).
Up to 2.2 kg (every 0.1 mg, 1 mg and semi-micro model above, plus the 2,100 g and 2,200 g toploaders): In-house calibration + certificate ($95) NIST calibration + NIST-traceable certificate ($395)
Over 2.2 to 6.2 kg (Quintix6102, Secura6102 and BCE6202): In-house calibration + certificate ($195) NIST calibration + NIST-traceable certificate ($495)
