A&D MF-50 Moisture Analyzer: 51 g × 0.002 g, 0.05% Moisture

The A&D Weighing MF-50 (MF50) measures moisture content by loss on drying. It weighs samples up to 51 g in 0.002 g steps with A&D’s Super Hybrid Sensor (SHS), and heats them with a 400 W halogen lamp. A&D’s Secondary Radiation Assist (SRA) filter spreads the heat evenly, so samples dry faster and more evenly.

A window on the heating chamber lets you watch the sample, and the VFD display shows the moisture curve, set values, and status. Five program memories store your methods, and RS-232C sends GLP-compliant results to a printer or PC.

MF-50 vs. MX-50: which should I choose?

Both use the same heater and 51 g capacity. The MX-50 reads to 0.001 g and 0.01% moisture; the MF-50 reads to 0.002 g and 0.05%.

What sample size does the MF-50 need?

Repeatability is 0.1% with a 1 g sample and 0.02% with a 5 g sample; larger samples give more repeatable results.

Does the MF-50 come with sample pans?

Yes, 20 sample pans are included. Replacement pans are sold in packs of 100.
