A&D calibration and service

For any A&D scale or balance, calibration before shipping is available on request (paid service tiers), done in our Cypress, TX shop. Pricing is set by the scale’s maximum capacity:

A scale whose capacity is exactly at a tier limit uses the lower tier.

Balances up to 2,200 g fall in the first tier, the 6 kg HC-6Ki in the 2.2–6.2 kg tier, the 20 lb HW-10KC and 33 lb SW-15KMF in the 6.2–35 kg tier, 150 lb bench scales in the 35–150 kg tier, and the 400 lb FG-200KALN in the over 150 kg tier. Calibration usually takes 1–3 business days after we receive the scale, and our mail-in scale calibration service covers A&D products bought anywhere. Our TDA-Registered Technicians service all scale classes.

Our technicians also calibrate and repair scales on-site across the Houston area and surrounding suburbs, with Dallas, Austin and San Antonio on request. On-site service is $295 plus $2 per mile round trip, charged once per visit, with calibration priced per scale on top.

What is the difference between A&D GX-A and GF-A balances?

Both are Apollo balances with the same weighing performance. GX-A models add a built-in calibration weight; GF-A models calibrate with an external test weight and cost less.

Which A&D balances are legal for trade?

Models with N or NTEP in the name, such as the GX-2002AN and FX-300iWPN, are NTEP approved.

Do you sell A&D accessories and parts?

Yes. We stock A&D printers, interface cables, AC adapters, batteries, breeze breaks and indicator options.

Can you calibrate an A&D scale I already own?

Yes. Send it through our mail-in calibration service, or book an on-site visit in the Houston area.

Is shipping free?

Does A&D make scales as well as balances?

Yes. A&D Weighing builds everything from the BM-20 microbalance at 22 g x 0.001 mg to industrial scales such as the FG-200KALN at 400 lb x 0.1 lb, plus washdown scales, counting scales and weighing indicators.

What is ACAI on A&D counting scales?

ACAI is A&D’s automatic counting accuracy improvement. As you add pieces to the pan, the scale recalculates the average piece weight, so your counts get more accurate.

Which A&D scale handles high-pressure washdown?

The SW series is rated IP69K for high-pressure, high-temperature cleaning. The SW-15KMF weighs 15 kg x 2 g and is NTEP approved for trade.
