Sartorius balance families
Entris II
The Entris II line covers everyday lab and industrial weighing with a clear display and fast results. Popular models include the Sartorius Entris 4202-1S (4,200 g x 0.01 g), the Entris 6202-1S (6,200 g x 0.01 g) and the Entris 64-1S analytical balance (60 g x 0.1 mg). Entris II Advanced models such as the BCA6202-1S (6,200 g x 0.01 g) and BCA224-1S (220 g x 0.1 mg) add extra application features. Compare the range in our Sartorius Entris II comparison.
Practum
Practum balances deliver Sartorius quality at an accessible price for routine lab and production weighing. Start with the Practum 1102-1S at 1,100 g x 0.01 g.
Quintix
Quintix balances add internal calibration and built-in applications. The Quintix 65-1S (60 g x 0.01 mg) and Quintix 35-1S (30 g x 0.01 mg) are popular semi-micro choices.
Secura
Secura balances are built for regulated labs, with automatic calibration and compliance features. Choose the Secura 124-1S analytical balance (120 g x 0.1 mg), the Secura 225D-1S semi-micro balance (120 g x 0.01 mg / 220 g x 0.1 mg) or the Secura 26-1S micro balance (21 g x 0.002 mg).
Cubis
Cubis is the Sartorius modular premium line for demanding labs, such as the Sartorius Cubis MSA1203S.
Moisture analyzers
The Sartorius MA35M moisture analyzer measures 35 g x 0.001 g with 0.01% moisture readability. See our moisture analyzer buying guide.
NTEP legal-for-trade Sartorius
Models ending in -1NUS are NTEP approved for trade, such as the Sartorius Secura 1102-1NUS, 1,100 g x 0.01 g with internal calibration and NTEP Class II approval, ideal for jewelry, cannabis and other high-precision trade. Browse more NTEP legal-for-trade scales.
Sartorius balance prices
Sartorius balance prices rise with finer readability and more automation. Practum and Entris II precision balances start under $900, analytical balances with 0.1 mg readability start around $1,500, and semi-micro balances run about $5,000 to $6,300. Our Sartorius balance price guide breaks down each family. Need several balances for a lab? Ask about wholesale pricing.
How to choose a Sartorius balance
- Readability: pick the smallest step your method needs: 0.01 g for formulation, 0.1 mg for analytical work, 0.01 mg for semi-micro. Compare analytical vs precision balances.
- Capacity: cover your heaviest sample plus the container.
- Calibration: internal calibration (Quintix, Secura, “I” models) adjusts itself; external calibration models use a test weight. See internal vs external calibration.
- Compliance: choose Secura or Cubis for regulated labs, and -1NUS models for legal-for-trade use.
- Accessories: printers, cables and draft shields are listed separately where marked “not included”.
Sartorius calibration
Add calibration to any Sartorius balance and we calibrate it in our Cypress shop before it ships, usually within 1–3 business days. Pricing follows the balance’s maximum capacity:
| Scale maximum capacity |
In-house calibration with NIST-tested weights |
NIST calibration with NIST-traceable certificate |
| Up to 2.2 kg (4.85 lb) |
$95 |
$395 |
| 2.2–6.2 kg (4.85–13.7 lb) |
$195 |
$495 |
| 6.2–35 kg (13.7–77 lb) |
$250 |
$595 |
A scale whose capacity is exactly at a tier limit uses the lower tier.
A 2,200 g balance stays in the up to 2.2 kg tier, and a 6,200 g balance stays in the 2.2–6.2 kg tier. For balances already in your lab, use mail-in calibration or book on-site balance calibration in Houston. On-site service covers labs, pharmacies and medical offices across Houston and the surrounding suburbs at $295 plus $2 per mile round trip, charged once per visit, with calibration priced per balance. MNM Scales is TDA licensed, with TDA-Registered Technicians for all scale classes.
