A&D EK-6000i Everest NTEP Compact Balance: 6000 g × 1 g, Legal for Trade

The A&D Weighing EK-6000i is the 6 kg NTEP model in A&D’s Everest EK-i series. It weighs up to 6000 g in 1 g steps and carries an NTEP Class III Certificate of Conformance (CC 04-019A3) with e = 1 g. It is also approved for under-hook weighing.

The 133 × 170 mm stainless steel pan, 16 mm backlit LCD, and sealed keypad stand up to daily use, and the standard RS-232C port connects a printer, PC, or point-of-sale system. Counting with ACAI and a HI/OK/LO comparator are built in.

Is the A&D EK-6000i legal for trade?

Yes. It is NTEP Class III approved under CC 04-019A3 with e = 1 g. Your state may also require registration, inspection, and sealing before use.

EK-6000i vs. EK-6100i: what’s the difference?

The EK-6000i reads 1 g and is NTEP approved. The EK-6100i reads 0.1 g but is not legal for trade.

Can I weigh below the balance?

Yes. The EK-6000i supports under-hook weighing; the hook kit is sold separately.

What calibration weight does it use?

The factory setting is 6000 g (not included). Or have us calibrate it before it ships.
