A&D BM-014 Pipette Accuracy Testing Kit for BM Series Balances

The A&D BM-014 pipette accuracy testing kit (BM-14) is A&D’s pipette calibration option for its BM series micro and analytical balances. It checks pipette volume by the gravimetric method in ISO 8655, so labs can verify pipettes in-house and use the same balance for everyday weighing the rest of the time.

The evaporation trap holds humidity around the weighing cup so small water samples keep their mass while you weigh. WinCT-Pipette software reads the balance over USB, converts water mass to volume using water temperature and air pressure, and judges each pipette’s accuracy and repeatability against ISO 8655, with printable test records.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which balance do I need for my pipettes?

For 1 µL to 200 µL pipettes, use the BM-20 or BM-22 (0.001 mg). For 20 µL to 10 mL, the BM-252 covers the widest range. For 200 µL to 10 mL, the BM-200, BM-300 or BM-500 works.

Can I still use the balance for normal weighing?

Yes. Fit the kit when you test pipettes and remove it to use the BM balance as an ordinary micro or analytical balance.

Is BM-14 the same part as BM-014?

Yes. A&D lists the kit as BM-014, and many dealers write it as BM-14. It is the same pipette accuracy testing kit.
