A&D SV-10A Sine-Wave Vibro Viscometer: 0.3 to 10,000 mPa·s

The A&D SV-10A is a tuning-fork vibro viscometer. Two thin sensor plates vibrate at 30 Hz in the sample, and the viscometer calculates viscosity from the current needed to keep them vibrating. One fixed sensor covers 0.3 to 10,000 mPa·s, so there are no rotors or spindles to swap, and a temperature sensor next to the plates reads 0 to 160 °C at the same time.

Because the plates barely move the sample, the SV-10A can measure while a sample flows, is stirred, or cures, and you can watch viscosity and temperature on a PC graph in real time.

Calibrate with A&D standard viscosity liquids (JS series) or a sample of known viscosity. A one-point simplified calibration with water is also available.

SV-10A vs. SV-1A vs. SV-100A?

The SV-1A covers 0.3 to 1000 mPa·s with 2 mL samples. The SV-10A covers 0.3 to 10,000 mPa·s. The SV-100A covers 1 to 100 Pa·s for thick samples.

Can it measure while the sample is stirred?

Yes. The plates vibrate in opposite directions, so it can measure flowing or stirred samples.
